Oh, brilliant! We're at the petrol station down south. If the weather holds, she can make it to... Building 40 tomorrow.
[This is Building 88 on the OOC map.]
Sorry for the trouble. Sherlock's violin string snapped and he's being impossible without that for entertainment on top of me taking his drugs away from him. I really appreciate this. I can send along a few things for you with Mary to help out. Does anything here interest you?
[Stephen will receive a full inventory of John's supplies minus the face scrub and stress ball, which he acquired on later days, and the syringes, which he needs.]
[At another time, Stephen might be opposed to making that kind of trip for a violin string. Stephen will let it go, though, in favor of glancing over the list. He's not initially inclined to take anything, but....]
I could use the wrist brace. And, uh...if you could write a prescription. Pregabalin, seventy-five milligrams twice daily until I get a better feel for it.
[He doesn't sound entirely thrilled at the prospect. This is a road he's been down before; he never liked the way he felt on anticonvulsants but at this point it's looking like his best option for managing the pain and with it, the temptation to dip into the Vicodin again.]
Talking of prescriptions, Eve told me Brian had another prescription pending when he asked me to write one for his medication. I dunno if that was you or House, but we should probably coordinate to make sure we're not writing overlapping scripts for him, and see that he gets it renewed in a timely manner each month.
[With any luck, the worst he'll get from it this time is dry mouth.]
That was me. I've got his prescription from the pharmacy and I offered to write him one to cover until I could get it to him. I shouldn't be surprised that he forgot to mention it to you.
Yeah. I'm less concerned about him trying to hoard drugs. I'm pretty sure there's nothing that's going to get him high in his prescription, but it's something I've never seen before. Got it originally off of a bloke named Tim Wright who was here before. He had the same condition as Brian.
Also, do you need any more pain meds? I've got... a lot right at the moment, and I'd rather spread them out. Managed to get hold of Sherlock's stash. There's Fentora, Vicodin, Morphine, and Ritalin.
I did see that exchange on your post. You know it's all right for you to use the medication, right? You're not abusing it, and it's something you need for your hands. You can't function as well when you're in constant pain.
Alfie probably won't go after you. I'd... offer to ask him to lay off of you, but we're a bit on the outs at the moment.
I don't need it. That's what the pregabalin is for.
[People need to stop giving him permission. He's liable to take it.]
You might be right about Alfie. He's insisting he won't, but somehow I think it's probably a good idea for me not to be in the area for a while, whether for him or someone else.
I'm just saying that if that doesn't work, please don't feel like you have to suffer in silence, mate. Everyone knows you're not going to be abusing them like some people would.
I can understand wanting to get out of Alfie's way, though. I really do appreciate this, again. Sherlock's refusing to leave me, and while that's sweet, he's also a miserable bastard right now. We really need to get those violin strings.
[There's a little sigh, but Stephen doesn't respond any further to the point about the Vicodin. He sees the logic, and he's self aware enough to know that if it were one of his patients instead of himself he'd be saying the same thing. If the supply weren't low, he'd take it in a heartbeat.]
Or he could get over it....
[Just saying.]
No, I know. I've got some things I can hand out over there anyway, so this makes sense right now.
Sherlock Holmes get over something? You're funny, Stephen. You could do a comedy routine with that!
[Yeah, no.]
Good, though. Killing two birds with one stone. I'll let Mary know you'll meet her there. Take good care of her or I'll have to kill you. Husbandly duty, you know?

[And so it has been requested.]
I'll send Mary along with the brace.

Ah...Vicodin I've got. I'm a little concerned about how just who knows I've got Vicodin, actually.

Right. No pressure.
We'll be fine. I've gone through the ruins twice now. I'll take her to all the best spots.

Really, though, thanks again, Stephen. If you ever need anything, you can count on me.

Take care of yourself. And Sherlock, I guess.

[He'll disconnect after that.]
